not really fiberglass related but i need some electrical advice

the other day i saw a honda civic driving through a parking lot and he hit a button which made his car whistle at some people walking infront of him.  i was wondering how i could make my car do this.  it sounded like it was just a portion of his alarm that was "played".

There are a lot of modules out there that have pre-programed sounds on it, anywhere from dog barking, whistling to recording your own voice.
If you want the cheap and easy way just get an alarm (the actual horn) and run a switch to it with 12v. flip the switch and it will whistle for as long as it is on.
Hope this helps man.

Re: not really fiberglass related but i need some electrical advice

what im thinking is finding a car alarm that sounds like the whistle i am looking for, then finding the leads to the horn when i hit the lock button twice on my remote, and adding a switch on the dash so i can use it while i am still driving.

sounds simple in theory but i don't know how easy it is going to be once it comes to getting into the wiring harness of an RX-8

You could just get the horn that you want from the alarm and wire it to the acc. under the dash then ground it. throw an on/off switch in series with the acc 12v and youll be set up.

i want to be able to use it when im not in the car.   i plan on having a switch on the dash for it, but i also want it to go off instead of the horn when i hit the lock button on my remote.  i just need to find a wiring diagram, and get myself psyched up enough to actually cut and splice some wires.
